iOS Update Causes Issues Connecting to Mail Services

iOS Update Causes Issues Connecting to Mail Services -

We are receiving reports from many customers that they are experiencing issues connecting to mail servers after the recent iOS updates. If you use an IPhone to connect to our mail servers, and have had issues please contact us. This article explains how we can correct the problem.

How to fix this issue:

1. If you have access to our hosting control panel, setup a new password for the email account concerned. If you do not have access, then contact us and we will setup a new password for you.

The Password you choose must meet the following conditions:
- be at least 8 characters long
- a MAXIMUM of 30 characters allowed
- must consist of only letters (a to z), numbers (0-9), CAPITAL LETTERS and special characters like - * _ etc

FOR EXAMPLE: gdoorC63*89JC

1. Once a new password has been setup for you on the hosting control panel, we will let you know this has been done. After you receive a notification from us that the password has been changed, please then -
2. Update the mail settings on the IPhone with the new password.
3. Reboot the IPhone.

For SMTP server settings it should be;
Host: smtp.WebSiteLive.net
User: your full email address
Pass: your new password for that email address
Port: 465
User SSL: Yes

For the IMAP server settings;
Host: imap.WebSiteLive.net
User: your full email address
Pass: your new password for that email address
Port: 993
User SSL: Yes
