Remove Funmoods Toolbar and Browser Extension. Delete funmoods from computer and removal instructions of funmoods.
Some software (especially free software) although very good sometimes add in little annoying software snippets from other vendors that think you may want their stuff too! One of these snippets is Funmoods Toolbar. If you do not want it, then the easiest option is to choose Customize on any program you install - usually most programs when they start the installer ask you to choose -
Okay you may need to think about each screen, but generally the program already has the default values filled in. But what you are looking for is the screen that says something like - Install Funmoods Install Browser Toolbar Change homepage or make FunMoods my default homepage This is what you want to avoid (unless of course you like this sort of stuff) But assuming you missed the forum post discussing this, then here is how to remove Funmoods from your computer - Uninstall from Firefox Browser - Uninstall from Internet Explorer - UPDATED - Full details appear on the Funmoods Official Website - LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED! due to a potential security threat on the official website - ![]() Please Note: We are not suggesting that the Funmoods application is a nuisance or a spyware problem. In actual fact it is refreshing that the vendors have taken the time and trouble to let people know how to uninstall the software. For us however, and some people who may not wish to have extra toolbars similar to Funmoods it is good to know how to remove it. |

Further to this post above there is no quick way of removing the application -
However, some simple steps taken should get rid of Funmoods. Step by step the removal process can be a bit time consuming, as the application which is a browser add on, resets your homepage and mucks around with all the internet searches too. It will install itself on any browser you have installed on your computer, so getting rid of it is not just as simple as clicking a switch. In order the tasks are: 1. Uninstall from Windows. 2. Remove the add-on/extension. 3. Fix your home page setting. 4. Fix your default search setting. First you need to uninstall it from Windows. Go To Control Panel >> Programs >> Uninstall a program. Find Funmoods, and uninstall it. Then you need to fix each browser and get rid of it. To remove the add-on in any of these browsers - Internet Explorer - Tools >> Manage Ad-ons >> Extensions Chrome - The wrench top right corner >> Tools >> Extensions Firefox - Tools >> Add-ons >> Extensions Find Funmoods and remove by uninstalling that particular extension NEXT you need to reset your homepage back to your prior choices - Internet Explorer - Tools >> Internet Options >> General Tab >> Home Page >> Put in the web address >> Use Current >> Apply >> OK ![]() Chrome - The wrench top right corner >> Options >> Basics >> Open this page >> Put in the web address ![]() Firefox - Tools >> Options >> General Tab >> Home Page >> Put in the web address >> Use Current pages >> OK ![]() NEXT you need to reset your Search Providers back to your prior choices - Internet Explorer - Tools >> Manage Ad-ons >> Search Providers >> Choose the default one - if funmoods shows up DELETE IT Chrome - The wrench top right corner >> Options >> Basics >> See the search box? Copy and paste this: Manage search engines and then make sure you have selected Google and not funmoods!!! ![]() Firefox - Right hand top corner you should see to the left of your Home Button a dropdown search box. Click the arrow and choose Manage Search Engines - Choose Google and if Funmoods is there DELETE IT ![]() ![]() If you followed the above everything should now be back to normal and Funmoods is just a distant memory. If you have been unable to REMOVE funmoods, then restart your computer in SAFE MODE and repeat the steps above. Safe Mode will only load the most basic drivers and system requirements, but it also helps when removing processes that are a bit awkward to delete when the system may be running normally! Please note that we accept no responsibility for this information presented, and you make changes at your own risk! If however you find this post useful then please say so, and we recommend that you get Malwarebytes and a good internet security program to protect your PC from further problems |
