1) Use powerful splash pages: Splash pages or captures pages are the first page your visitors see when they arrive at your website. You must give your visitor a call of action or a need for them to enter their name and email to be taken to the next page which should be your sales page

2) Do not use excessive banner advertisements: Even the least net savvy people have trained themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting valuable website real estate. Instead, provide more valuable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content.

3) Have a simple and clear navigation of your website:You must make your websites straight to the point and very easy to understand. Your website has to be easy for a teenager to understand it and easily navigate through it. This way it is compatible for any person or any age looking for what you have to offer.

It depends on what kind of webpage you are making, landingpages for selling a product i would agree with the statement above, but for informative websites i wouldn't give my members a call of action to get there emailadres and name. If the content is right they will give there emailadres for sure.

Hello,
The important facts for web designing:

1. Web design is more than just design. Search engine optimization is a key component. A webmaster should be well knowledgeable with skills in web development languages as well as SEO principles. Other requisites of an effective web design that should be mentioned are browser compatibility, CSS markup, social media compatibility and standards-compliance.

2. Design should be extendable for the future needs. The design of a website totally depends on its future goals. As an example, at some stage you may want to add some additional plugins or widgets to your website. Thus, it should be flexible for all sorts of changes. Creation of a website is not that simple process. It involves a number of considerations.

3. Visitors need to see lively graphics. As it’s been shown in practice, people pay a lot of attention to all the details in a web page.  Nice lively images would be able to speak for themselves. What if you need to convey a certain emotion? It’s not that easy to put it in words. This is where a nice photography could be an ideal solution.

Great tips! A website’s landing page should be attractive. It should also contain an overview of the websites’ highlights. This will make the audience explore more about it.

Normally i would agree, but we get the best results with Landingspages which aren't attrective. They just got some really strong CTA's, just a single div... no background etc...
